Mine runs the zip disc.

The one I'm using is my second 808. My original one died from non-stop regular use between 1999 & 2017. Looked hardcore into HD solutions but ended up trying out a hella lotta secondhand zip drives. Nightmare.

Beginning of 2017 I found an 808 listed for sale for real cheap ...

Also, wondering if your 808 has zip disk or HDD / SD mod?

That's interesting to know that you would keep the 808 over the others. Is that for the whole vibe of it over the others? Or other reasons?

Yeah, resampling is the way to go! I'm curious, any idea where the compressor is placed in the 303/404og vinyl sim? Ie ...

808 has several different vinyl simulation patches saved as default, which you can edit and re-save. The control knobs on most of them are set like Vinyl 33 where Ctrl knobs set to:

C1. Dsk NzTotl
C2. Dsk WF Totl
C3. Dsk Dist
C4. Dsk ScrtNz
C5. Dsk FX Lev
C6. Dsk DryLev

Is 17 the vinyl sim? I mean, of course it is, right? But why isn't it labelled as such?
Can anyone compare if it is closer to the 404 og, or the 404sx?

I just purchased an sp808sx, it's on the way...

As I understand it it has the vinyl sim, which is probably the main reason that I want an SP...

I can't seem to find anywhere if the 808 ex vinyl sim his same as the 303 or if it's a newer one...

I would much prefer the old school ready ...
