Just got half of a solution so I guessed I'd let you guys know!
Works for the effects, holding remain + any pads lets you choose which pad you wanna put the effect on.
So at least now I can play on my padKontrol with velocity sensitivity and put an effect on the pad I want, even though I didn't ...

SP404SX MIDI sync problem
Hi everybody out here!
I'm trying to control the SP with a pad controller cause I like them pads better, plus they're velocity sensitive... so great to get that SP404 sound with velocity pads!
Thing is, when I hit, say, B2, bank A's pad 1 plays back. Everything plays fine, the counterpart SP pad ...
