Has anyone on here put a new screen into their MS-1 Sampler?
Love mine but the display is getting so dim these days that I have to have it at a very odd angle in order to read it.
I'm OK with a soldering iron so if anyone knows of a direct modern replacement or has done it to their unit I'd be ...

I've also found it's possible to clone the contents of an MS-1 formatted card using a Mac and the Terminal app.
(You'll need a USB card reader relevant to the type of memcard you're using...)
Image a card (where it mounts as disk2):
sudo dd if=/dev/disk2 of=/Users ...

Actually more like 80mins at LONG2/MONO if you have no buffers set on the card.
This type also work (SDCFB on the reverse), although it still provides the same max. sampling time as the 32mb type so there's a fair bit of wasted space obviously:

Just wanted to chip in what I've found so far, these 32mb Sandisk branded type seem to work fine with the MS-1. They have SDP3B on the reverse.

They give a max. sample time in Bank C/D/E of 75mins at LONG2/MONO. Half that In STANDARD/MONO and around 11mins in HIGH/STEREO.
