Re: Vocal cuts?
to me the best way is to get a accapella and just chop different vocal cuts from the song and place em into your track.
i do that on many songs after i finish making it, i would load up a different accapellas for the track and just cut different parts to add to certain places in the track.

Re: I need a detailed Vinyl Sim comparison.
404og and 303 pretty much on par execpt the 303 sounds slightly more grittier do to the different machinery inside the two pieces. the 404 sx doesnt have a comp on its vinyl sim like the OG and 303. the 505 is pretty much an upgraded 303.

Re: BOUNCING RCA setup
i have my 404 and 303 routed with ableton.
i got a komplete 6 interface so i got the right amount of inputs and oputputs to make it work.
i got the outs from the interface running into my 404 that goes to my 303 then back into the interface. and its all set up with ableton

Re: chopping samples technique questions
yeah this is probably the fastest method on the sx....
here is a step by step guide from lordarekkusu (404 tips tricks: the mark mystery + the delete disaster-thread)
1. Get a 4-bar (or whatever) loop on Pad 1.
2. Mark the first chop, no end point (note: you only can mark with no end point if you ...

Re: chopping samples technique questions
first off, what sp do you have? it does make a difference.
I got the 404sx
why you resample the whole sample to different pads? SX can copy samples.
this is probably the fastest way, copy the whole sample and mark the chops you want (and probably truncate after that) or record the whole sample ...

Re: Getting chopped samples out of "MARK" mode
there is a section on the manual for it, but essentially after you chop your sample and the mark light is on, you can hit the delete button, then press mark then delete after that. this should allow you to delete the ends that you dont want.

chopping samples technique questions
whats good y'all?
I'm a pretty new SP user and was wonder what do you guys do when your chopping your samples on the SP.
So far I just record a sample into the SP, re-sample the same sample on 8 pads, and do my best cut them individually into 1/4 or 1/2 beats like you would on a MPC. Maybe its ...

Style Flip??
What's good y'all.
Going through the forums and YouTube, a lot of y'all have some dope looking SPs. I'm looking to get a custom faceplate for mine but it seem like it's hard to get a customs metal faceplate unless you have good artistic ability in which I don't have.
Has anyone tried style flip? I ...
