TL;DR: Try a USB mixer like the LD Systems LAX3, or Behringer Xenyx 302USB, etc. They are better than an RCA to 3.5 jack cable.

I have a Behringer XENYX 302USB mixer / interface to record the output of my SP-202.

I'm not a beatmaster, but currently I sample drums in hi-fi, and everything else in standard / lo-fi.

The reason is I like to have crystal clear kick / snare / hi-hats (bass) to go under some grittier samples.

However I am considering using Lo-Fi 2, with good samples the results could be sweet.
