any idea on how to repair a faulty knob? just purchased a second 505 as the first one i ordered had a faulty Cntrl Knob 3, I am now looking to repair that knob.

Whole system works perfectly except the knob. As soon as the knob is touched it jumps to 100% and then after that it doesnt recognise ...

So many dope samples. I tried to make a mini beat tape, but ran out of time. Only got two of the four done.

Lif, Alnitak, Teewok, and dRMS's flips were all dope.
Went with dRMS.

What you need is an audio interface or mixer. MIDI doesn't actually create or record sounds, it just triggers them.

Long story short my MacBook randomly died on me. Brought it to the Apple Store and they told me it was either a corrupted hard drive or the video chip needed to be replaced. Thankfully it was just the video chip. I almost lost three years of music and two beat tapes I'm working on right now ...

I have an MKII, in the manual it says to use type II. You can find them on eBay for pretty cheap, I like Maxell XLII type II cassettes. As long as you're recording everything in the red you're gonna obtain tape saturation. This is my first and only tape recorder so I don't know what you mean by ...
