beat making question

well, i am getting to the point where my samples seem to loop alright, nice and much smoother;

but as i am trying to build rhythm sequences, i get stuck with so so, oh hum bars, thats probably cause the SP404 rhythm building is wholly by ear, no graphic sequencing like i am used to.

i mean how ...

the use(s) of the "remain" button on the SP 404

could one (or more) of the 404 wiz on this forum please explain all the different things that can be done with the button "remain"... it seems to me from reading this forum and comparing it to the 404 manual, that the manual doesn't tell the whole story (or at least not that clearly)....

Yes you can adjust the sound levels after it's recorded in the pattern sequencer and you can use one effect at a time live.

ok, but then as i understand it there are 2 ways to add fx to a voice part of an already programmed sequence: one is to get back to sample banks, select that voice, and ...

effects and sound level on SP404

i sort of asked a question like that, but i think my question at that time was not really clearly worded...

i try again: suppose i program a sequence: kick, snare, h.hat, and another sample. it is recorded and i play it.

supppose now as i listen to my sequence, i think that the snare would ...

newb questions about sequences on SP404

i was wondering if the sound level of samples can be adjusted separetely before they are plugged in a sequence. for example i find the factory sounds of snare and kick too high compared to others samples;

also, once a sequence (ie AFTER) is completed, is there a way to assign FXs to individual ...

trying to use a drum machine to sequence the SP 404

am a new SP 404 owner, and still struggling to lay down so tracks, because so far i find this programming by taping the pads in real time not so easy to do (much respect to those who can do it) .... so i was thinking i got this old roland drum machine TR 626, with pretty nice step sequencing, with ...

so i tried to record some samples to play them as a seamless loop. but i have some problems to chop my samples so that when they play as a loop the transition is smooth without this ...
