I've been working on starting a sample library lately…my process is to just take records, grab small bits and pieces of things I like until the pads are all full, then I've been dumping them all to my computer, dropping them in Ableton and processing them further or making drum or instrument racks ...

Make stuff in FL and then sample that into the box...mess around with it and throw it back into FL...repeat. I find that really helps me get out of creative slumps, because you can always whip something up on the computer, just sample that and chop it up.

This is great...I'm a fairly new ESX user, I'd love to hear your start to finish workflow.

I just got mine a month or so ago but I'm finding it's pretty easy to do whole tracks using the resampling method. I don't use the sequencer at all. yeah that's more the style I'm thinking of using after what I did last night...get some ESX jams recorded into the 404 and work with them there.
