Make sure all your samples are compatible. Open them in a wave editor and resave them as 16 bit wav. I batch process anything with SoundForge: bit depth 16 bits. Resample: 44.1khz and 16 bit. Some samples on Internet are compressed or encoded lower to save space.

You can corrupt a card by not properly removing it from your computer or SP555 (turning it off first before removing or inserting).
