Going to read all this thread later. Maybe I can be of some help. I'm a C and C++ software developer. Very interesting thread though. I tried to hack the Jazzmutant Lemur firmware, but was very difficult.

Hey guys,
I've owned my SP-404 for a while now but I've never used it and it sat in the cupboard. Today I got it out and decided to finally dig into this machine.
I plugged the outputs into my KRK Rokits, and that's it. I am getting a buzzing noise. I cant ignore the buzz because it's rather loud ...
