I don't get it. Roland really dropped the ball on this. They have a click available for the patterns, but not the pads themselves? This boggles my mind.
Though, you're saying that it can be done with the remain button? I will try this. I have the SX.

I am not trying to sample a song. I am building original songs with my own samples. I play drums, guitar, bass, keyboards, etc. I basically want to use the 404 like a backing track or a drum machine in a way. That way I can do solo shows where I play guitar and sing.

Bypass Click Track?
Is there a way to bypass the click track for the Pattern Section? If not, I guess I need to start recording to a click. Trying to figure out what BPM a section of music is can be difficult, especially if the song changes time signatures.
