right now I have issues with getting it to run on newer 64 bit windows machines, so please be patient for a while until I have more time to investigate! Also, I got an example OG project and will try to incorporate
Sure if you upload a zip of an example 404 OG project (incl. folder structure) and send me a link, Ill see if I can make it work, I think there's just a few naming differences...
sample/compose/try stuff out in 404... export multi-track to DAW, mix if needed (but music is more important than the mix yo)... so actually use the tools for what theyre good at
holy shit!! so dope man!! number 3 totally shocked me, number 13 fucking beautiful!! this def has a damu/grap luva feel!! nr 14 is sooo dope! your drums are great, what do you do to them?! the snares have awesome mids!!
Yo yo doppppe battle!! So much good stuff I absolutely dont want to vote (but I will):
Es-K: mad mad bass and mad swing!! Pader: so minimal and so good!! you make so much out of a few samples! Wolfe: the delays on the vocals, the atmosphere, a poem!! tire: damn, live drumming and a free flowing ...
yo I sent out the link. One more thing, when you want to load your SP project (File->Load in the app), go to your memory card (or your hard drive) and select the SP404SX folder inside the ROLAND folder. Later on I'll build in some auto-resolving in case you hit the ROLAND folder or your SD card ...
I made a little tool for the 404 community... what it does:
Exports 404SX (no OG yet) patterns as individual tracks, so you can easily continue working on them in the DAW. Has a few options like normalizing, looping more than once, keeping tails of samples beyond loop endpoint, naming ...
Dope stuff dude... love the Astrud Gilberto, the lofiness - high finesse, the mexican trumpet, the relaxed drum beats... chillin to it!! Yeah... delicous! Just one point of criticism... TOO SHORT!!
gate&reverse supported as well now... as soon as I have "loop" and AIFF working I'll add a little GUI and post a beta... anyone interested in testing the beta version? I can make a linux or windows build from here (but mac is just a matter of recompiling on a mac).
So I managed to read out patterns/pad_info files, samples and combine it all together to export seperate waves for a pattern of my chosing. Looks & sounds good (in audacity). Loop/Gate/Reverse isn't supported yet so I tried it on drums first (all non-gate, non-loop, non-reverse).
