Re: MPC500 review

Yea....no slice......it wouldn't be possible to see the waveform on the screen, it's too small. It chops exactly like the Korg Microsampler (chop by numbers). There's a few little tricks to chop faster, I normally just adjust the start point, then copy it to another pad, then adjust that start ...

Re: MPC500 review

Copped a MPC 500, surpirsed that it doesn't have a slice function like the my old 1000 and 2500. Its more akin to slicing like a sp404.

Still its good fun have a portable beat machine

Re: New Pocket Operator K.O PO-33 Sampler

Eh....it depends on how much you want to spend, the condition of the MPC 500.....I have both & I love them both, so I would get both :)

K.O. brand new $89

MPC 500 - I paid $400 for mine, mint condition, fat red pads, upgraded memory, warranty (bought it used). I heard a lot of bad things about ...

Re: New Pocket Operator K.O PO-33 Sampler

Am I wrong in thinking from watching the videos that sequencing is so much better than on a sp404.

Even trimming reminds me of the sp404

Re: The much dissed Korg Microsampler: better than you think

Finally got one and its pretty dope, however, I have few issues so to speak.

Can you using only 1 bank at a time?, I was hoping to switch banks to add stuff for my loops but it seems you can't.

Did they fix this in keygate sampling.

Sounds not as great as I imagined

Not sure if you finished reading the Initial post....
if you tap tempo your sample and then resample using the auto next feature it will cut your samples seamlessly without ...

Is it fair to say the microsampler is like a turbo version of an asr 10?

Re: The much dissed Korg Microsampler: better than you think

How about trimming samples, is it accurate enough similar to a sp 404sx?.
yes it's very accurate. you can trim via percentage which is fast but sometimes not accurate enough (especially when it's a long sample). if you trim via numbers (you see the start and end point as e.g. "84889330") it's not ...

Re: The much dissed Korg Microsampler: better than you think

quick question, what is trimming samples like this. I guess its similar in respects to the sps where you use the dial to adjust start and end points?.

Also I been watching the videos and is it as easy as it sounds, sample a loop and then press a key to sample that particular section, and then ...
