1GB Transcend CF cards work at 133x but not any lower. Tested with two cards for several years

since the SP only reads the folders and doesnt create a partition when its formatted, its totally fine to put anything you'd like on the card otherwise. as long as those folders aren't disrupted

its different, and it matters more for certain effects.

some transcend cards wont work correctly. I have one that is orange and another that is blue. The orange one works perfectly, while the blue one will work for a short while before it wont play samples correctly or at all

updating runs the risk of ruining your 404 and having to send it to Roland. like myself at this moment. be careful.

UPDATE: they told me how to fix it now its all gravy

on the OG 404 its 1GB.

i honestly dont think the 500 is something worth getting. both the 404 OG or the SX can do just about everything if you take the time to get comfortable with them. if you get an mpc at all, i personally feel that you should get anything but the 500.

i mainly use nothing for the most part...just a mixer sometimes to make the turntable louder

rca to headphone jack makes any sp really versatile. you can sample "anything" at that point

Coming from a user who has both...use what you want. If you really know what you're doing both work just fine. I had my Maschine for 2 years now and its pushed out amazing shit. Your beats are what you put into the sampler itself. If you're wack you'll be wack on every new piece of equipment you get
