Spent all evening last night trying to figure this out, with the manual printed on the side at Chapter 7 related to MIDI implementation as well as SP-Forums on my phone screen. To no avail.

Is it possible to sync the SP303 FX to the MPC master tempo if I only use [external source]? All ...

The more I play with it the more I realize I won't beef up my performances by adding more machines.. but by focusing on this one and get creative with fx/pad tricks.

Kind of how I feel about the MPC for production.

Same settings as explained in the previous post, I'm messing with delay on the first 1/8th of my "main melodic sample" loop to introduce the main part of the beat, as well as my "outro" loop ...

I use delay for transitions between beats. All 3 knobs set to 1am/pm (delay is T4) and as soon as let's say the snare bit comes (or the kick, whatever works best) I hit delay and then [hold] 1/4 a mesure later so the beat stops and you can only hear the fade-out with the portion of the beat the ...

Figured it out, pretty self explanatory.

For anyone struggling with it you have the 'suggested bpm' which bankrobber calculates (really really accurate), the original bpm which the SP calculated (not as accurate for my loops), and the user bpm - the one bankrobber will use when "exporting to card ...

Can anyone explain how to use, suggested BPM > original BPM > user BPM on bank robber? Bit confused with the arrows, values etc.
I guess I'm trying to figure out if I can modify the BPM value to totally new one, not just x2.

Actually if you have recommendations on effect combos, that would be grand. In this video I am using :

- Intro : filter cut-off
- reverb on snares
- the fx looper on snares
- usually keep the EQ on low freq only to cut the highs + mids for main loop to make variations
- Outro: delay on specific ...

Altough I suggest you use a DAW to edit your MPC audio loops and make sure all your loops are at the same exact lenght before dumping them on your SP404 and jam.

Jamming with looped stems taken from old beats. Surprised to not see more peeps using the SP like that, super fun and addictive. Plenty of room for timing mistakes tho
