Re: upload songs from 505 to pc to burn onto a cd??

Hi,

I am trying to record with audacity as you suggest but the audio is really swampy sounding, like listening to my song underwater.. and I set the decibals etc of the recordlevel as the documentation suggests so that shouldn't be the problem. I'm connecting the RCA outputs of the 505 to the ...

Re: Lets talk chop..

I didn't realize you made the jazzilator stuff too! I was referring to your other songs on sound cloud. Actually its your Jazillator songs on YouTube that motivated me to buy the 505- and I even looked into getting a kaossilator until I realized I should experiment and develop my own style instead ...

Re: Lets talk chop..

locotesmjr: I like your music on soundcloud, was any of that done with the SP or FL? Also, how do you justify using the SP-505 instead of just using FL studio to make music? Finally, do you prefer to start with your beats or the melodies when building the song?

I always go with default because I ...

Re: Lets talk chop..

Some great ideas there fauna thanks!

@ picaroon - the resolution is trial and error. If i get the
one-chop-big-next-chop, I usually crank it up to 9 or 10 and work my way back down. I actually like how imprecise it is, cuz it chops in places I wouldn't have. I find one bar or two bars work best ...

Re: Lets talk chop..

I agree that would be a good feature to have the option of breaking at even beats- I just use the 'edit' and set the chops manually at the start of each bar. It only takes a few minutes. But you can always play out the loops manually regardless, you just have to press the buttons at the right times ...

Lets talk chop..

I've now had enough time to really get to know the 505 now but I still have some questions about the chop feature. The 'resolution' feature usually defaults at 4 or 5 with a maximum setting of 10.. But usually the chops are really bad, not starting and ending on any beat that I can hear, and often I ...

Sampling: "With BPM" setting?

Hi everyone, just got a 505 and have read the manual and worked through the examples 3 times. One thing that still isn't clear (well I'll start with the big one for now , is how the 'with BPM' setting works in the sampling standby options.

Just for an example, lets say I have 2 drum samples. I don ...
