honestly $300 isn't that bad. i've paid ~$280/230/250 for the the 404s I've had over the years. 303s should be cheaper but ultimately it's a very good deal, a fucking technics turntable w/o a mixer or anything else would be about the same price

there's a good chance it'll sound like shit even if you found a way (via computer most likely) to almost completely remove the drum sounds. the frequency in the drums will also represent other nice frequencies of the sample. you'll have to remove a lot of the sample, which can work but sometimes ...

you're losing that "umph" because not matter what (afaik) the recorded result will never sound as good as you playing it live straight from the instrument.

you just gotta learn how to eq/mix it to how you believe it sounded originally after the fact. that's how it is for everyone I believe. use eq ...

the website says it comes with MIDI adapters (since the midi size on the beatstep pro looks tiny). not sure if you'd need any 3rd party interaction if this is the case, the bspro looks like it can adjust CC note values/change midi channels fairly easily. with the og beatstep you would have needed a ...
