Re: Sp 303 + MPC 1000 assign outs
In the manual it says you go into the mixer screen and assign pads (containing the sounds) to the assignable outputs.
the way I plan on having things is like this:
send kick to mpc assign out 1; feeding mono mixer channel 1
send snare to mpc assign out 2; feeding mono mixer channel 2
send hat to ...

Sp 303 + MPC 1000 assign outs
If there are any here who have experience with the MPC 1000, I have a question about the Assignable Outputs, that I can't get a clear idea from reading the manual.
Ok, so you have a kick, snare, hat, bass, and a chopped vinyl sample all sequenced on the MPC and all the audio is coming out of the ...

Re: Mixer Question
There are types of audio interfaces (such as the mackie u.420) that act as a soundcard and also as a standalone mixer, without the pc/firewire/usb connection. i can disconnect the firewire cable and use it solely as a mixer. but using the firewire, i can route any audio playing from inside the pc ...

when connected to USB
can you drag and drop files onto the SP 555 without unplugging and plugging the USB cable everytime?
Can you just keep the 555 plugged up USB 24/7 and just go back and forth between using the 555 itself and then drag and dropping files using USB?
because I used to use an MPC 500, which had USB ...

EXT Source vs sampling in directly
Is the "quality" of the FX from the Sp 303 altered any, if you just run gear THROUGH it via EXT Source, as opposed to sampling INTO the 303?
For instance, would an effect sound fuller if a sample was sampled into the 303? Or would it sound exactly the same if you were running an external sound ...

Mackie U420 Aux Out volume problem
I'm using the Mackie U.420 Audio Interface. I'm trying to run Aux Outs into my external sampler, the Sp 303. When I do this, the volume through the Aux Outs is extremely low and I have to turn all my volume up (both inside Windows and on the U.420). I've tried different cables, same thing. The other ...

Re: The struggle of finding the right power adapter...
I believe some people have said the Zoom ST-224 Sampletrak works perfect with the Sp 303... they say it removes the hiss and unwanted "white noise" that the Sp 303 is known for. here is a link to it:

Vinyl Sim Compression question
I would just like some insight on how you guys use this effect.
1) Send all drums grouped together to be vinyl sim compressed.
2) Combine drums and bassline together to be vinyl sim compressed.
3) Send entire beat through the compressor
My reason for asking is because I have beats multi-tracked ...

Re: Sp 303 + RE-20 Space Echo recording problem
A good example is this... imagine my pattern in FL Studio is "05.647", but I'm only sending my snare pattern through the Sp 303 for FX. Well the snare in the pattern doesn't hit until "00.705"
I have everything multitracked right now, in very specific areas on the grid. This means for the snare ...

Sp 303 + RE-20 Space Echo recording problem
I have samples on the Sp 303 that I want to be able to run through the Space Echo and record the Space Echo's output into FL Studio. The Space Echo has no MIDI, only RCA Ins/Outs. So here is the question I have:
Will the start point of the recordings be exactly the same, each time I record patterns ...

Re: Sp 303 , compression + reverb
thanks for the reply Unfolding!
yes, that would be a very arduous task re-sampling each track, adjusting levels, etc. haha
looks like i'll go ahead and just compress all drums together and apply reverb afterwards.
i heard about this compression trick from another thread, where if you play your ...

Sp 303 , compression + reverb
I have all my drums tracked out in Cubase (kick=tr1, snare=tr2, bass=tr3, etc.) ... I have a Reverb set up and have certain amounts of Reverb added to each element of my beat. BUT... before I finish my beat, I want to solo all of my drums (just my drums, not the samples, bass, or synth, etc.) and ...
