Re: Decay on the 303
i will sometimes do this..
1. start off with single drum hit
2. press isolator and have all knobs at 12 o clock (no noticeable change to sample)
3. resample and turn down the low freq. partway through the sample where you want it to "decay"
4. repeat step 3 with middle freq.
5. repeat step 3 with ...

Re: Decay on the 303
I have tried doing all 3 together
But i have more control doing it one by one
In my experience, percise results are worth more than saving a few seconds

Re: Which Drum Machine to purchase?
Yeah, from what i remember you make a pattern in bank c/d back it up then move it to a/b then you load up your saved c/d patterns then move your pattern back from a/b to c/d. Now u have a copy

Re: Which Drum Machine to purchase?
303 and 404 can both copy patterns. I'm sure other sp's can too. I would go for the 303. Good sound. Its limited but powerful and the ext. resampling is a sellig point in itself

Re: Wah Effect
i think its always guna do that
if i anticipate using that effect i'll usually put all samples at 100(volume) then turn it up when i add that effect

Re: A good cheap turntable to play dirty vinyl
Yeah i bought the non-usb model for like 90 bucks, i think theyre charging like 200 for the usb model. I found some for under 100 on ebay, check it out. Replacment needles are around 20 bucks but you can get a cheaper bulk price for buying a few.

Vestax handytrax works well for me, under 100 bucks and the replacement needles are cheap
