Please each of you post here the max nr of samples loaded
Hi, I am trying to find out if someone was able to fully load all the banks, especially CF 9 - 32 ones with short samples (so not memory-wise but number-wise).

Re: Switching banks the fastest way
Yes its the truth. No need to hit Enter. From your post it seems you don't have one yet. EXT button only works if its connected with a USB plug and its for sampling.
Just chill and relax until it arrives and you can answer most of your questions by playing around with it.

D Beam Synth and polyphony
Hi, does the D Beam synth in any way and especially when recorded onto track add to the polyphony?

Switching banks the fastest way
Hi, in the manual it says the quickest change of a bank is achieved by pressing BANK button + 1 - 16 pads. Is it truth and doin so, ENTER has to be pressed as well? Also, can I also fast switch that way first 16 CF only banks (9 - 24) if I first press EXT or the pads will always switch first 16 (8 ...

Re: a bit confused about import vs load etc
Since all my samples (384 stereo WAVs/9-32 banks fully filled) will be about 4 seconds long, there should be no problem with memory size right? It takes about 140MB (calculated to Roland STANDARD grade format and with all source WAVs deleted from card of course). I assume STANDARD is the grade type ...

Re: a bit confused about import vs load etc
Hi,
After the .wav-files have been converted to Roland-format you can delete the .wav-files!
So that sure reduces the number of files on the card and also the CF-card-space.
In fact I simply nEEd to remove the already converted .wav-files, since I'm using quite a few longer samples. The SP-606 ...

Re: a bit confused about import vs load etc
Hi, MotorBongo! Yes the manual says 200 files on CF is the limit for import. Switching CF cards for me is not an option cause I need all the samples in one project.
The thing I don't really understand is if the limit on the CF is 200 files does this limit also relate for already imported / loaded ...

a bit confused about import vs load etc
Hi, the thing is that I don't plan to use SP606 for sampling that much but rather would like to fill all the CF banks (9-32) with imported WAVs (about 500 in total including the shortest once that will go in banks 1-8). Now only 200 files are available for import right? If so, beside chopping option ...

Re: Resampling via analogue outs with patch cable possible?
Mr.thraz, I can't thank you enough for yet another very informative response
The thing that got me confused is the picture in the manual where on ext seq sampling page it shows example with MC909. Both are connected with only 2 MIDI cables in the loop but only now I see it says also to connect ...

Re: Resampling via analogue outs with patch cable possible?
But if like Vivian said, there will be feedback then it's not an option anyway. But if I don't use any effects (not before and not even when resampling), will there still be feedback?

Re: Resampling via analogue outs with patch cable possible?
Ahh I see : ( I thought that it could only be done with 2 MIDI cables, one from SP606 MIDI out to MIDI in of external sequencer and then MIDI out from ext sequencer back to MIDI in of SP606. Wouldn't the MIDI sequence data that comes back into SP606 retrigger SP606 pattern playback and by putting ...

Re: Resampling via analogue outs with patch cable possible?
Thanks guys for the info! Just to be sure, I only need external sequencer (no additional sampler or module) to do ext seq sampling and everything is done in MIDI domain with only 2 MIDI cables (will use hardware sequencer, no PC) connected and no audio need to pass between the two?

Hi, resample the pattern that was recorded into sequencer track/s onto one of the pads. I know this isn't possible internally but can it be done by patching cables between stereo out and input jacks and hitting sequencer PLAY and SAMPLING buttons simultaneously?

Resampling via analogue outs with patch cable possible?
Hi, is it possible to resample sequence playing by connecting cables between analogue outs and ins? In other words, does the Play button start the sequence when SP606 is in sampling from analogue inputs mode?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: using external or plug in effects
Ok, thanks. I see that ASIO driver is also available for the XP. Didn't know that, that's great. Yeah I'm still on XP hehe. Now I wonder if using the 555 as audio interface and Cubase as DAW, will I be able to record the pad performance of the 555 through USB into Cubase as well or only what comes ...
