Hello Y'all
Thinking about buying another SP-555 (Had to sell my old one for financial reasons)
I've been working on some new stuff with my buddy and we are trying to get the live performance down to a computer free setup.

Re: Hybrid Live Performance with SP-555, Guitar, Vox, Keys
I run my guitar separately, but I run my Micron through the SP-555 in order to drop effects and drum loops down. I also sample live through the Line In and Mic input and drop effects on samples.

Re: Best Ideas for Post-Rock/Ambient
Yeah I guess Panda Bear wasn't the best example, but I kind of want to have a minimal post rock beat. I used to be in a post rock band in Houston and ever since I left I have been dying to start performing again, but with a more electric and simple style. Best Ideas for Post-Rock/Ambient
I am brand new to the forums and I wanted to know what is the best technique to get a good post rock or ambient drum beat out of the SP-555. I use Logic Pro, but I want to try new sample techniques and I would like to create a drum beat similar to Panda Bear and Emancipator (both quite different ...

Re: Live set up
Alesis Micron, SP-555, Multimix 4 USB, Logic Pro. I sometimes run a mic through the Multimix to capture ukulele, sometimes I run a mic through the SP-555 to throw down some effects. I am getting a vintage Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and a Danelectro 1956 Single Cutaway shipped up from my buddies.
