No I went into the shop and I was like "555" and they were like errr... "799". They quoted 750 for the 404sx, but on a 2nd look saw that I'll get it a lot cheeper.

But apart from velocity I guess there's not much in it hey... apart from being able to dump samples from the looper to the pads inside ...

Hey guys, I'm going to grab an SP to start gigging with. I've already got a Kaoss Pad (which does looping) so completely disregarding price (they're the same price new now apparently!?) Would you prefer an SP-404sx with a Kaoss Pad or an SP-555 to play a gig with?

I just borrowed a 404 from a friend to give it a go... it seems like the pads are kinda loose and probably prone to bumping and misfiring samples onstage... has anyone run into that problem using these live?

Haven't plugged it in yet, I'll let you all know how I go when I do...

So... I'm thinking about grabbing on of these soon for live work (so noob questions disclaimer)... if you've got your beat playing as a sample on one of the pads, are you able to record a loop over the top?

and can you switch banks without the sound cutting out too?

I basically want to play beats ...
