Do you get a new record and sample as you listen or do you listen and take notes of what could make a good sample?

Ive done both but also convert the finds to mp3 and pop them on my iPhone to listen to ...

Re: recent scores?

Picked up these just before christmas. Havent had chance to listen to them all yet. The Clockwork Orange OST is a very strange listening experience, a cool one though.

I saw this the other day when it was anounced at NAMM. Looks awesome, shame about the steep price tag though. Vid below.

Re: Can you recommend me a Tape Recorder?

I was eyeing up and old Coomber recorder on ebay the other week, we use to use them in primary school. There abit bulky and ugly though, but at the same time had this old retro cool look to them. By the looks of things the majority of peeps round here use the Tascam Portastudios.

Easy Gents,

I have no knowledge of turntables what so ever and have a bit of a query.

I been looking around the net for one and noticed a couple that have caught my eye. Question is, do i need a mixer to connect the turntable to the SP, or do i need a preamp?

Ive had a look round the forum ...

Greetings

Hi all,

Ive finally got round to signing up after lurking for a few weeks. I been across a few forums over the years and this one is by far the friendliest.

Ive only really got into sampling over the last few months and realized some of my favourite artists were big sample users, such as Massive ...
