ahh i see.. so when you say compression is the same do you mean compression on the original 404 mfx12 vs 404sx compression or vinyl sim on the original 404 is stronger than compression on the 404sx?

i tried copying the card data to my laptop using a card reader however I received an error and it would not copy all of the files.. this has happened to me using a 303 before as well. this time however when i put the card back in the 505 none of the samples or patterns were corrupted, so its okay as ...

so if I understand correctly, on the 505 when you back up sequencer data it will save all of the 100 patterns to one slot on the memory card?
