I feel like there are two relevant things at play here. One is good bass isolation and boosting.

I have a bunch of drum one shots organized on my MPC 2500. I make drum loops on there and then record them into my 404sx. I sample records through the MPC directly into the 404sx and chop on there.
Chopping samples in the MPC and using the sequencer there is more powerful but it requires more work ...

1. The compressor on vinyl sim knob 1 often causes a loud clipping noise at the beginning of the sample when it's turned up too high. Same with/ more so true with MFX 12.
2. You mean like a warble like a warped record? Cuz that's what the effect does. Otherwise I'm not sure.
