I've read most of these posts... Has anyone tried to mod the leds under the pads to a different color themselves? I've mod'd the leds on my mpc to white and blue. I'd love to see a 404 with something other than blah red. Anyone? i edited cuz i saw drewdank had mentioned that a pro was going to do it ...

I have a mpc 1k and a 404sx. I found the best way to do what you want is to connect them correct. Like everyone else said have the ext button on sp on.
