Re: SP-404 MK2?

There literally is no end in sight for it, so unless Roland secured another chip manufacturer outside of China, they're as fucked as every other corporation that chose to depend on manufacturers operating under a Chinese Dictatorship for the production of their ICs.

Well the synth/sampler market ...

Re: SP-404 MK2?

Where did you find that ? It's not in the manual, except as an effect for 'cyclically panning', which is not real panning.
I've seen so many videos now I cannot remember which video I saw it demonstrated in, but you'll find it in the manual on this page under the description for Pan control.

See ...

Re: SP-404 MK2?

BTW, I forget to mention the other day that I absolutely love how they implemented Pan! Panning hard left will give you a dual-mono sample based on the left channel, panning hard right will give you a dual-mono sample based on the right, and setting it anywhere between gives you the usual Pan ...

Re: SP-404 MK2?

Well apparently someone at Roland decided that it's better to piss people off by removing the much loved and accepted SD card slot, and the much loved and standardised MIDI DIN format, and ...

Re: [Error] FFO / FF0 Sp won't turn on without CF

You first might wanna try a factory reset. It might work (or not). If it doesn't work, it needs professional fixing.

Power on while holding CANCEL, REMAIN, and DEL. When “ini” shows in the display, press REC

Re: Pre-specifying the Parameters of the Effect You’ll Selec

Well, the only thing you *see* is c-1, c-2 or c-3, no parameters.
But you can test it. For example, select 'vinyl sim', turn ctrl2 to the left. You should hear no cracks/pops.
Now select another effect. Then press 'remain' and ctrl2, turn it to the right. Now select 'vinyl sim' again. You should ...

Re: NEED HELP!!! URGENT!!!

Soooo I managed to get a Roland brand CF (after I ordered another Sandisk that was too large for tha 404 smh) and formatted it so I could copy over my entire ROLAND folder with all its contents just to have tha same sh*t happen. Absolutely NOTHING.

Did you formatted the card with the 404 or with ...

You could say that pawn shop probably bought it for $50-75.
So it's a good deal, except for the seller.

Re: MIDI sync issuezz...

Manual starts p41 about this. I would try chan 16 just in case the other messages the miniak are sending are crowding chan 1 (unlikely, all the same pipe). Chan 16 is used for nothing on the SP.

Well, if you use a CF card, the 404 uses 2 midi channels. So if you use midi channel 15, channel 16 ...
