I have a pattern that I am copying and building on. I start it quantized but every time i copy and paste it to add something over it the quantization seems to turn off. Shouldnt the copied pattern keep the same quantize setting? Am I not doing something correctly?

I just bought a 404sx (first sampler purchase ever in fact) and right out of the box the 9 pad LED seems to be busted. It's really dim but you can sort of see it. In a well lit room you cant really make it out very well. I know the obvious answer is to return it but since I just waited over a week ...
