I was holding delete and pressing mark.
you have to press delete and release so the delete button is on and pads containing samples blink, then press mark.

Just figured it out, what a dummy

For some reason my truncate function seems to have stopped working. It used to but now when I hold Del, then press Mark (while it's lit) nothing happens and it just goes to delete sample mode instead of truncating. Very frustrating...am I doing something wrong?

Ah got it so you gotta move it to a card bank for it to work I think.

You can resample a pattern? Like bounce the pattern to one pad that you can play as a sample?
So I just tried that video trick again and it doesn't seem to work.
I make a pattern on pad 1. I do a save pattern on pad one.
I move pattern on pad 1 to pad 2.
I load pattern, afterward I only have 1 ...

Nah, I got it off craiglist from a guy down near china town. There's always one or two listed on the NY craigslist...
Now I'm looking for a decent but cheap DJ mixer. May go the behringer route, although you pretty much get what you pay for.

Is there a way to copy patterns on the SP 303?

I've been searching through this site for awhile leading up to finally purchasing one of these bad boys. Great community here, looking forward to participating in some of the battles.
I got a good shape 303 with 64mb card & original adaptor for $250...
