that quadra merge thing/thru is pretty tite! i googled and saw 2 of em. a "thru" 1 in 4out. and the "merge" that is 4 in 1 out. i could see wonderful uses for each...especially with some sound modules. my homeboy, vintage rocks a hardware midi-sequencer brain type of machine, now that's just crazy ...

question: if you do decide to use the sp-555 i/o via usb, can you use that in conjunction with another sound device on your pc? like having the sound go from the sp to the pc but still have an output on your soundcard working?

ahhh. your method is basically how i start out. i turn the effect on and then start manually adding all the pads. then start subtractin' to bring sounds in.

Q: is there a "master effect" on this, or way to achieve it quickly?,, meaning, can you go BLAM and have your effect on ALL of the tracks ...

Muting & Un-Muting Pads that are looping?

Okay, I know I'm all over the place today, but I "need more input (johny #5".

Maybe I'm overlooking something really obvious here... is there a way that you can use the sp-555 as a loop-playing device and then turn on/off the samples(loops)? I've simulated this by placing all of the pads under ...

word, gospel.

imo, when you master midi, you transform into an octopus-armed aural manipulating , time-travellin extra terrestrial.

how else can you play the same notes on 4 keyboards at the same time?

how else can you play something sloppily and then travel back in time and at your ...

using pads to control keys on keyboard? similar to mpd?

One of the reasons I got the sp-555 was to be able to chop up loops and be able to drum out the parts with pads. Since then I've been totally neglecting the machine. I've developed a work around for splitting up samples and loops and playing them. I use the FL slicer and can either export the slices ...

Dr.Sample 303 sed: This happens with my 303 pads and it does take time to get used to, but that's one of my favorite features now.

After playing with the sp-555 for a good 6 hours, i'm starting to agree with you. I think its just the nature of the buttons. They are designed kind of loose so ...

imo,
rythm is everything. kinda like a bassist. it can be one note, but it has to be on rythm. complex isn't always better. most times, something simple done repetetively with good rythm sounds way better.

oh yeah, "scratch everyday".. couldn't have been said better.
