Re: A few questions about cables/stereo sound

It's a little Behringer 4-track mixer. The main output consists of two mono outputs, one for each channel, which together makes a stereo output.

If most venues run their systems in mono, I'm probably just going to get a two mono to one mono Y-cable.

A few questions about cables/stereo sound

I recently acquired a mixer to plug all of my electronics into. So, I have all my cables for plugging my electronics into the mixer, but I am using a mono 1/4 cable plugged into the left channel output. Now, obviously, I want to get some stereo-sound going before I start playing shows with my new ...

Yeah, I hear you. It's definitely natural that some of your earliest work is going to resemble your influences. But, I think any meaningful, evolving art is going to eventually take on its own shape in good time.

But, mutually, sure, I hear a strong Madlib influence in your music. But it is still ...

Thanks guys. I've just got to record vocals for three songs and I'll have a full length "album" done. I'll link you guys to a megaupload or something when it's done. :)

Shit, I didn't even think about that. I was going to just run my vocals through the delay function on my 404 just because it's a little easier to control in a live setting, but now that you say that, I may have to go with the reverb.

This is ridiculously sick. I'm getting some pretty cool mum vibes from it. Great job man.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. Glad to hear everyone is digging on it...

I'm playing a gig in the dance hall here at school where they have some of the more notable names play when they come through on college tours and what not. Like, Dan Deacon played there back in 2007, so I'm super ...

No, I know what you're saying, and it has been a worry of mine since having begun using the sampler; my previous work, which is still up for download on the myspace (not to sound like a pitch), sounds signficantly different from the current batch of material.

It bothered me at first, but I've ...

All my new material is composed on my 404 that I acquired for Christmas; all the stuff in the jukebox came from the aforementioned batch of songs.

I'm still getting used to the thing, but I love it, and I guess I'm learning everyday... So, enjoy!
