btw, I've enabled the usb in/out on the 555 and that hasn't helped.

In the driver zip file from Roland there is a setup exe (which I tried), but there is also another two setup files in the "files" folder (32 and 64 bit). I have a 32bit machine, and I tried the 32bit but no luck. any idea which ...

Hey guys. Have any of you 555 owners successfully installed the windows 8 drivers? The installation went well, and I'm able to select the 555's ins/outs in Renoise, but no audio is passing in either direction no matter what I do. Thanks!

by chance has anyone figured out a way to remove these kinds of stains? i recently got a 555 and the pads are badly stained like this. thanks.

Thanks guys. I ended up taking it back to guitar center. Ended up finding another used one in excellent condition. And I also snagged a 505 to go with it. Stoked!

So it looks I have a bad unit. I think the left input is blown. When stereo is lit I only get a signal from the right side. Damn. Thanks for the input guys.
