Re: good mic pre-amp?
i was asking this same question about a year ago..
before you waste your money on a pre-amp..
just get a decent mixer
the type of mixer a young band would use.
not only is it a pre-amp but comes in very handy later on for gigs..recording..even running all your shit at home through it.

Re: best electribe es series?
i had all the electribes but got rid of them all except for the EA1
i love the bastard more than my woman
it makes basslines/squelchy 303 sounds
my set-up live is Sp555 + electribe ea1 and i have ripped venues to shreds with them

Re: Help** Problems loading samples / wave converter/
the wave converter program is excellent. it could not be easier
But you need the wave converter program...AND a card reader.
i was not aware that you needed to buy a seperate card reader at first either..and spent many a night trying to load them on via usb
put the compactflashcard into the card ...

Re: Can the 555 do this? (Computer Question)
i use my sp55 with my mac...but never with usb
i had to buy a seperate compactflashcard reader device...
then i prepare samples on the mac...and just send them to the sp (card).
bam...done...ready for the gig

Re: A gig I did (with the sp555)
cheers for the feedback lads
@hurlingdervish
i triggered all the loops manually by hand. i didn't even know i could do it automatically
by hand is better because you'll never play the same track in the same way more than once
imported all the samples from my mac g5 computer
i have never recorded ...
