Sorry for the lack of knowledge here:

I have sampled a poem being read and want to put it over a beat. When I play it over the beat, the vocal sample is slowed down and sounds choppy. How can I fix this?

Im looking to sample some live instruments/sounds.

Does anybody know of any reasonably priced mics that I should get?

I've pitched the pre-programmed bass sounds and they are a little ragged (I have read the pitching post).

I was was wondering where you guys get your bass sounds from?

I am pretty new to sampling. I use a 505.

Please tell me how to make my beats better.

I just picked up an SP 505 at a pawn shop for $120. This is my first sampler. All I have right now is one jazz album.
