Just wanted to check;
When you make adjustments to the samples on each pad (ie. change the start/end points or volume) does it instantly write those changes to the card so they'll be there if you take it out and put it in again?

Juxt - nice space, use of reverb and crisp eq... Kind of reminds me of one of those levels in old school Mario where you'd be jumping about inside a massive clock!!!

Olerud - Really like the arrangement and the way you brought in the main melody at 1:13. Interesting experiments with pitch shift too ...

I'm always up for creating crazy rhythms from chops so that the beats sound more original - a standard snare/kick/hat sound will only get you so far...

But that aside, I think the main focus here should be on getting as many people involved as possible (a 15 man battle would be dope! ...and ...

Glad people are likin the beats. To be honest, I was trying to write a hip-hop tune! ...just been spending too much time listening to the new Prefuse album I guess.

Was just multiband compression/eq... and several years practice!

plexxsounds - Really crisp mix, nice filtering and award for most original snare sound!

juxt - ...but juxt gets award for 'best' snare - very snappy and great use of reverb (something I have yet to use successfullly!) Also, probably the mix that twists it furthest away from the original ...

Cheers man. It was one of those tunes that was a real struggle at first but perseverance paid off... Probably couldn't have done it if the battle had only been one week long!

I recorded into Logic through an Edirol FA-66 interface and did a bit of mastering using Izotope Ozone (a sick all-in-one ...

Just out of interest, is it really difficult to copy patterns on the 404? ...didn't realise that.

Suppose that did give me a little bit of an advantage... Was lots of hard work too tho!
