I don't have a SK-1, but I DO have both the PT-1 and an SK-8, which I use quite often.

I believe the PT-1 was before the SK-1, but it is quite smaller than the SK-1.

The SK-8 is a sampling keyboard and you can loop and reverse up to four samples, each .7 or 1.4 seconds long. Quite awesome.

Well, I assumed people knew I am using the SP 303, but if you need more accurate information, I use two SP 303s simultaneously.

The 'number' of the sampler moreso designates it as that particular model; it doesn't have anything to do with the 'doubling' or 'tripling' of past samplers.

All you have to do is do some research on what the 606 offers compared to what the 303 or 404 offers.

I don't know what the 606 offers, but simply do the following:

google search or search this website for a list of all of the features available on the 606 and write all of the features down ...

I'm thinking about playing live. What kind of mixer should I get?

What do you mean, here, by 'home hifi'? I'm assuming you mean some sort of amplification device, such as speakers or something, that deal with hi fi electronics, but can you be more specific?
