yeah. why not just record the sounds straight out of the sp? i don't think boss would be offering anything that would support a long discontinued product.

you don't have to be playing back a pattern to get phrases sync'd to a specific bpm. you can use the 'bpm sync' button and your phrase will lock to whatever bpm you specify there even when without pushing play.

that since you're chopping quarter notes (usually where the kick and snare fall) you'll still have the high-hats from the original sample rocking in time behind the kick and snare on each pad (as long as you're playing in time to those hats, which you should...)

its chopping 101... just thought ...

TIP chopping breaks into equal parts

just a quick tip i discovered today and thought i'd share:

chopping breaks into individual hits can be a pain for a few reasons: -polyphony if you have hats on top of kicks on top of snares you start running out of voices quickly
-there's no velocity sensitivity on the pads, so it takes some ...

MV OS cross-compatibility

never try to put an mv8800 os on an mv8000 or visa versa. just posting this in case someone gets the bad idea i had that it might work. my mv is now a massive paper-weight (i've been all through this extensively on mvnation...). in other news.. i'm close to fixing mine now know the ins and out of ...

there's a clipboard, but its not stackable like the 505s (aka only 1 sample on the clipboard at a time).

if you like your drum breaks to be chopped into individual drum hits then i suppose autochop would be very obnoxious..... (wtf?)

i sold my 606 to get a 505. the 505 is much smaller, which i liked, and i had an mpc so a lot of the stuff the 606 did over the 505 was redundant for me. the 606 is basically the same as the 505 with a few major additions (as i see it).

1) MUCH FASTER PROCESSING TIME (which is a BIG deal)
2 ...

why not sequence it with the mpc. you can set the program change for each track on the mpc, and set up a track for each bank.

This is LOW. END. THEORY.

which is what dude was getting at the the center cancel. just resample as much as you need to with mfx to freak that bass while getting rid of the higher freqs. Chop that. By the way, if you're taking the bass from your main loop (i.e. the same loop you'll use un ...

i would think that it'd be slower actually, b/c its still reading and writing through the sd interface to an sd chip and then to the xd and back.
