ok, that sucks bigtime! :) the kp3 does the job pretty good, but then you only have limited space, due to only 4 pads. seems like my 404 was my biggest mistake so far on buying sampler. why the hell didnt saved my cash and waited for the 555?! Arrrgh!

Im am new to sampling with hardware. Got myself the SP 404 (not SX), and as I can see it is not possible to record/sample while you play a pad already?
for ex: I sample a nice beat on my turntables, get it nice looping...Then I want to record a bass-line from another record over the ...
