quick question

does the sp555 let you import 24 bit wav samples? if not...

does the wav converter let you batch dither 24 bit samples to 16 bit?

im thinking about picking up an sp555 (i already have an sp404) i love a lot of the new features especially in a live setting but i hate having to load up samples ...

i used to have one. it a great all around synth especially in the bass department. it has a lot of really nice sub basses perfect for trip hop. plus its also an audio interface which can come in handy. i returned mine because i ended up getting a waldorf micro q and it was kind of redundant.

weirdly enough (with it being a VERY small diaphragm condenser) i sampled my acoustic guitar and the results were extremely bassy. so to improve the sound i had to pretty much cut the bass frquencies with the equalizer and then i added a touch of reverb to thicken it up a bit. when i recorded it ...

i think its a talkbox. like the rocktron banshee. what peter frampton used to get that crazy vocal sound. you can actualy make a decent one out of an old computer speaker and some duct tape haha. heres a video on that.

monophonic?

is there a way i can get my sp 404 to just trigger one pad at a time? so if im hitting one pad and then i hit another the first pad stops playing (monophonic). im trying to make a chopped up sounding guitar loop but the samples are running together. help a n00b out? thanks.
