yeah i like this too. well suited to rap over, unlike a lot of the beats people are churning out these days (which isnt a bad thing! best of luck to any rapper that tries to rap over some of my beats...)

used (maybe abused) the 404 for the heavy compression
sequenced and sampled on the mpc

you have to be a little patient wait for it to settle into the groove

top 3 beats on my myspace just made on the mpc after using a 404 for the past 5-6 months. the 404 is cool, but i missed the mpc's awesome sequencer. i've been trying to ditch the quantizer so the timing might be off in some places.
