Re: SP2400 .. the SP1200 of modern time
I'm patiently waiting for mines to arrive. Currently a delay with production parts. But should be shipping within a few weeks. I can't wait...

Re: vp-9000
I've heard that it does have the same as a Vsynth. I've had one for a few years now. When I have used it, indeed its great. About to redo the lab, heading back to my sampling roots. Will play more of a role afterwards. Been a minute since posting on the forum. Whassup Fam.

Re: Should I get NI Maschine?
I'm torn with this decision too. I have peeps that swear by the maschine. However, each day I get more proficient with the MV. I definitely like not relying on a computer. If I do make the leap, it will be after "Renai" comes out. So I can give her a whirl first.

Re: MV Soundcloud Group - Anything 'touched' by the MV
Sup Fam,
I'm still adding several tracks weekly into the group. Any feedback is welcomed. Just honing my skills on the MV. I use the MV, with a variety of sound modules for sounds and inspiration. I also sample vinyl (sparsely), and video. Just my daily plight to become the best I can with these ...

Re: Record collections
Sup Fam,
I might have 500-800 records in my collection, which I started two years ago. I haven't taken the time to sort them yet. I have a bit of picture memory. So I go to thifts, goodwill, or record shops and come away with a bunch from that alone. Yeah quality over quantity is my thing as well ...

Recent Addition...
Sup Fam, its been a long time since I posted anything. You guys have been so helpful in the past. I recently copped a Roland VS-2400CD. I'm now diving into the learning curve of it. All the features it has are truly amazing. I was wondering if any others have VS units and ask how they have used it ...

Re: MV Soundcloud Group - Anything 'touched' by the MV
Sup BH,
Yeah I found the group on soundcloud. Apparently, I joined it before reading this point. I have lots of tracks that have been "touched" by my MV8K. More to work on, more to post online.
Peace...Netm8kr

Re: Got my 505 today
Got stuff bro... I too got myself a 505 a lil more than a month ago. I've been sick so I've only played with it 1 or 2 times. I got mines from a local pawn shop that actually had two. Now I need to find a memory card for it.
Nice first beat too bro, keep em coming.

Re: Greg-SP...still alive?
Damn Greg,
I haven't listen to a single note of your beat tape yet bruh. I just downloaded it. However, I have been following your past work. I took the time to read your "Cruddy LP' pdf file. Bruh, having just gone thru the lowest point of my life, I gotta say it touched me a bit. I too leaned ...

Sup Fam,
Yeah I have been silent on the boards for a while. But, making strides on my MV as well. You guys keep me motivated to try more creative things on it. Ill-G, congrats on getting your own beast too. Everyday, it asks to be munipulated. So give it to her hard...

Re: part you hate most about beat making?
I have a bit of all these things.
-I hate, running out of time in the lab.
-I hate, feeling like i spend too much time away from wifey.
-I hate, waking up tired from a late night session.
-I hate, having to name beats.
-I hate, not using my MV cause atm it easier to use the familiar FL

Re: WTB: MV-8000
Thanks Bruh,
I really am having issues not using FL & the 404. I go as far as to turn it on. I even start going thru some sounds. Then I'll have an idea, and jump to FL to put it down quickly before losing it. I need to come up with a set routine to get me going. I waited a long time to get it. Now ...

Re: WTB: MV-8000
Sup Fam, haven't been on for a minute. But YES I GOT IT...lol I'm trying to get over the learning curve aspect of it. Not to make excuses, but like mesaone stated before. It's easier if you read the books. So I need to make time to do that first. Also, apparently mines was a display unit previously ...
