Just rock the effects for some solid live mixes

Lay down a handful of patterns. Load up yer pads with samples.

Get on the mix.

Aloha!

Has anyone got a spare p606 CD, know where I can get one or can copy one?

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks

More sage advice... thanks

'Better' sampler?

I often wonder about sequencing and the MPCs. Used to mess with a MC303 and quite liked its sequencing. I'm here with a 505 and a different workflow and I see potential in combining but can't crystalise my aim.

It's all fun and hard but I guess ...

Gracias!

I still want a better sampler to play with :D !
But this has crystalised the way forward. And i've got an effects unit, mixer and turntables already.

Should really tie the room together.

Cheers

Ideal set-up

Ok

I've got a 505 and a microkorg and am intrigued by what I need to buy next to get the most out of the set up. IE: move closer to making actual tracks

Computers are out.

What 2/3 machines work best together for you?

Have considered (in no particular order)
1. A better sampler
2. A ...

cheers for the reply.

Formatted another card then copied everything from the first card onto it.

Now have all the pattern data but none of the samples on the card banks.

Still looking ominous although having the pattern data is a better situation to an hour ago. Enables thoughts of recovery ...

Could I copy everything off the card to the computer,

(there's still a load of .sp0 files on there)

Then reformat the card in the 505 then copy the files back onto the card?

Or am i pissing in the wind...
cheers

Nightmare

Hey

Took my memory card out to store some stuff on the computer.

Replaced it in 505.

Cannot get to my memory card pad banks, they just don't show up.

This is horribly ominous.

Any way of rescuing this or is my card f***ed?

Thanks

Cheers for the replies.

Since i'm primarily after an interface, that last issue shouldn't be too much of a problem, but appreciate it being pointed out as these are the things that pass us by at times!

Anyone got any thoughts on effective midi set-ups between combinations of the sp505 ...

Audio interfacing with the sp555?

Ok got a Microkorg and Sp505 and was gonna spend £200ish on an audio interface, then realised that the SP555 could help out here for not much more money. Obviously a more fun way to spend yer cash too.

Thing is, is it any good as an audio interface and could I hook up my other gear easily?

I'm ...

Olby's video is a good starting point.

Personally, I find that if you send the sample through the chop function, it often takes 2/3 goes to get the chop parameter right. I find it works well on samples of 5-10seconds. Others may disagree.

Similarly, if you're looking for the chop function to ...
