That's a new aspect for me, since I never considered the MPC's seriously, just because the memory seemed a bit limited. But then again it's not that few after all, when thinking in loops. If there are capabilities of exact wave editing in the MPC, this may be a solution.

I don't know the other mentioned units, have to get some info about them, except for the JamMan, which is more a kind of pedal to record and play just one loop at a given time ...

It's described on p.29 of the manual: press LOOP while the sample is playing, press the pad to stop it, than disable LOOP if needed. Alternatively you can use GATE, works like LOOP at this point..

Yeah, thanks. That's a thing we've already discussed in this thread and which is right. It's just a bit difficult to achieve when recording on the 555, apart from stopping the input, which would cause an unwanted gap in the loop. When not working with PC all the time, and just with the 555, things ...
