I just bought an "integral" 1GB CF card and my sp-404 won't even turn on with it inserted!?!?

Hey E.Simon, do you mean the blue labled ones? Both of my platinum cards doesn't hold samples, has sample-stuttering + resample-weirdness... so i wouldn't recommend to get on of those even if yours are alright, I better keep them on red... if you wanna try/buy the 2x 1GB cards hit me up...

Yeah, I had the same problem with my Integral card. Solution was to turn the 404 on and put the card in before the letters appear (at your own risk ofcourse). Then the machine should autoformat this card. Mine did anyway. Haven't had any problems with this card since. Hope this solves your problem.

The Kingston SD4/8GB works fine for me. Glad to find a high capacity card that works.

Nice, but can you fill up that 8GB ? I thought 1GB was the max.
