Here's a small section from my secret scrolls of the lo-fi. The knowledge I once collected will be of more use to new comers, so I'll share it for them to use until they unlock their own power to share and create from within. It's best to help others more than our selves.

First Form:
1. Resample some drums in long mode with the vinyl sim applied to it for a Lo-fi kit.
2. Sequence that in the pattern sequencer and track it out to Reaper, bounce it back to the SP-303 onto a pad.
3. Find some samples to put with the drums and record them into the Sony stereo cassette-corder and bounce that back to SP-303 pads to play to the drums.
4. Use Reaper to multi-track everything and pan/mix levels and add effects processing and mixdown to a stereo track for the masses.
Second Form:
1. Make a drum sequence in the pattern sequencer with hard hitting drum sounds and track that to Reaper and bounce it back to a pad on the SP-303.
2. Beatmatch a sampled breakbeat to the bounced sequencer drum loop tempo and resample it with the isolator so the hi's stand out more in the breakbeat and the kick and snare stick out more from the bounced drum sequence.
3. Make 4 chops of a guitar or piano and set them up like I would do drums on the pads and play them to the new drum track.
4. Find strings and other types of ambient samples or even vocal samples to add effects to and layer over the main loop for variations.

this has been said in other threads, but to thicken up drums that sound too thin, re-sample through mfx 16 [radio tuning] with all 3 knobs all the way down to the left. i have a 404 but that should work on the 303 just the same
