Whats up! Basically just a small heads up for those interested in participating in a MV battle;

http://www.mvnation.com/phpBB/viewtopic ... 26&t=14483

Should be fun! The sample used is James Brown's 'World' and there are no special rules, just flip as you please and make it bounce hard hahah!

Peace! 8)

Oh yeah, I'm aware of the battle. Maybe the next round, I still want to sharpen my skills on the beast. I know the MV vets would kill me this time. At least I would feel more up to par with those guys on the next battle. I'd rather be Hippo King than Glass Joe, 9mean?

Yeah, same here, but I'm going to go ahead and make something anyway. I know I won't stand a chance winning, especially against Ace. :)

Yeah and Killatrax too. They all got nice sounding beats. Good luck man, at least you got skill to handle those giants.

Skills? Me? Hahah, well I'm not so sure about that, but I do know my MV inside-out and this is what I came up with:

Still a bit rough around the edges, but the basic idea is there. :)

YO!!! That sounds DOPE!!! You got that from the James Brown Song? WOW, sounds totally different than what the original sounds like!

You should post this in the music section. :mrgreen:

Thanks! I think I will. Yeah, I got quite a lot from the James Brown sample, but outside samples were allowed too.

I think it's somewhere around 40-60, with 60% being outside samples (even MV stock sound stuff for the drumkit, a sitar from Sonic Cell, some keys etc.). It was pretty difficult to get a lot from the James Brown sample, but I did find a few short one-shot stabs I could use. :)
