3 day poll. Pick your favorite beat above.

I wish I could include Devee’s beat in the poll, but the beat needs to be constructed on an sp to enter. STILL, I’m glad you put something together & shared it with us Devee! Here’s Devee’s beat for your listening pleasure https://soundcloud.com/deveets/spbb256

My top 3: EndorShores, Sharris, SELIM HP
voted SELIM (did you put the bpm looper at the end ? it would be better if you put it before resampling on 202 because it sounds like 404 effect sound on lo-fi 202 beat: not natural  )

Tnx man, really appreciate it..

Well, this is some intense shit, nearly impossible to decide.. Like literally each and every song has that 'something' that spices it up..
Teewok and Sharris - impeccable beats. Teewoks kinda reminds me of 'Sound Defects' ('Iron horse' record, fuckin' love that LP), great vocals and all.. That goes for Brutus Pivo too, dirty beats - somewhat reminded me of one of the tracks from the above mentioned LP. Awesome.
asha with the minilogue, drmnaga78 with the contrast of fuzzy bass and a bit filthy drums VS the atmosphere of the flute, k'ruol with that bass, and head nodding beat - what a ride.
Then there are Ghost Bazz and EndorShores with those keys. Fuck, actually EndorShores' piano is a 'shut up and take my money', no doubt there.. But, Ghost Buzz's vocals and that heavy beat...Damn.
Crane and Selim H. P. did amazing job as well.

So, like... What now? :D
I don't think I can decide that easy.. most definitely will, ofc, but hear me out here (sorry for the off topic) :

Can we somehow change the voting system? I think it would be much more objective and interesting if you could vote two times - as in, the track you like the most gets two votes ( or dots, or points or whatever), and the runner up one.

Now I know that this is all fun and games, no rewards or anything, so maybe seems like a waste of time to go through all that trouble (IF it's possible in the first place, I don't know shit about tools the mods have on forums) - BUT, I think it would be fair, plus it's a good thing to have cliffhangers right? Especially when you just can't decide between three or more tracks..

Maybe I'm wrong, I dunno.. Gonna go listen to all these tracks and make a choice.
Good battle everyone, peace out

I think the voting setup is flexible from round to round... ie, winner can pick a multi-voting scenario. I don’t think the poll gets more complex than allowing multiple votes though without limitation. The site can’t handle doing 2 or 3 votes, but u can set it up w unlimited votes... I think.

Great beats! I listened to these as they were coming in and liked all of em! Picking 1 is gonna b a challenge. I see where u r coming from on wanting more votes.

You can pick how many times people can vote when setting the poll up...I went with 1 vote as that's how the past battles were. But good idea LoopmantrA! The amount of amazing tracks in this battle is crazy & I would love to vote more than once.......BUT....there have already been a few votes, so not sure if it should be changed.

I was getting all flustered with voting, but these battles are just about having fun & challenging yourself. I'm getting so much out of these battles! & I love the feedback. So I'm just gonna listen to the tracks a bunch, not put to much pressure on myself, try to decide on a beat that moves me the most & provide as much feedback as possible on each track.

Yeah, it was just a thought.. Kinda hate the fact I need to pick only one, but hey c'est la vie.

I vote for Teewok. Love the groove, and the impeccable time signature.

Voted EndorShores for that underground banger.

Great beats & great variety! This would make a sick mixtape.

Difficult decision. I really liked all beats in this session but I will vote in Teewok!

I went with Selim H.P. - In all honesty I don’t like a lot of crazy effect use, so the fact that I liked this beat so much kind of shocked me, I also think it added to the beat in a really good way. Your track told a story & the melody work hit deep. Every time I listen to this beat it gets better & better. I just REALLY feel this one.
LoopmantrA –I have a hard time scratchin thru out a beat & makin it sound good, you did a great job, the scratchin goes so well with your beat. All around, great track!! & I ALWAYS love your bass lines!
Teewok – Your chops are insane, you're the sp boom bap king, for real, I can tell you’ve been doin this a while (you were my brothers favorite by the way & you WERE mine, until I heard Selim’s).
asha c – The lead you made with the Minilogue goes so well with your chops & I really like the drums, I liked those “triplet” kicks thru the beginning of the track & then how the drums switch up. Loved how you used the vocals too.
Brutus Pivo – This track hit hard!! & I could tell you were havin a lot of fun with this, jamming out on effects, I pictured you head bangin while makin it. Really liked your chops & the hard hittin drums!
EndorShores – Really loved the vibe of this, great style! Liked the subtle use of Biggie vocals thru out & that bassline!
drmnaga78 – Your mastering skills are top notch! Your beat sounded so professional. Really liked the soft flute over the bangin drums & bass.
k’ruol – Loved how you did the melody, just switching up the octave like that added so much. Also that sub bass with the other deep sound, it was like you had 2 basslines, but it went really together, well done, def a head nodder for sure!
Ghost Bazz – This track was crazy in a good way, I loved how you mixed different reverse elements thru-out. Your beats always impress me! & you seem to have a few different styles, this track was so different than the last 1 I heard of yours, yet you make it your own…..really creative track!
Crane - Love ODB & your beat fits his style great, totally sounds like an ODB beat. Good shit! Really liked the light melody sprinkles over the drums. Totally had a RZA air about it, yet it was still different.
Devee – Loved that you combined elements from different songs, really solid beat with an interesting use of melodies. I know makin full tracks on an sp can be a pain! Great style tho, would love to hear more from you in future battles!

I went with the LoopMantrA. Mainly because I like a good scratch song. Teewok was my second choice.

Sharris - Unless there is anticipation of a slew of votes to come in, you should declare a winner so a new battle can be on way for the three day weekend!!

Edit: It looks like half the people didn't even vote.

Well, the poll ends in 5 hours & since there are some people that haven't voted yet, I'll leave it open until then, but I'll declare the winner right when the polls over.

I know Selim H.P. has a good lead, so if Selim wants to start plannin the next battle that would be cool, but anything could happen in 5 hours! LoopmantrA, Teewok & Endorshores are only 2 votes behind.......

Whoever wins, yes, it would be awesome if you could get the next battle up before the 3 day weekend!
