Using the mfx6 pan on the 404 to achieve a kind of ducking in rythm. Adjust the knob3 and knob 2 somewhere between 8- 11 o clock. Now to knob1 for depth of ducking. Knob2 controls the timing. Knob 3 how much it ducks. Resmple to mono. U may need some tries to make it but i think its interesting result. It reminds me of a gate petal or smthin.

Apologies if this has been mentioned as I haven’t worked through the thread yet... the 404 makes a great effects box for other units that can send externally. I’ve used the 404 this way w several recorders. I have a current setup w my 808 connected to the send/receive of my e-mu proteus 2500. The vinyl effects, wah, phasers, etc really pair nicely w the non-Roland synths and sound modules. Plus, if I want to compose my track on the 808 I use the connection for recording the proteus. Each track in the proteus can either be routed through the effect send (to the 808), or to the master mix output, which is alternate to the 808’s master output to avoid doubling the proteus.

it.sOk's tip sounds interesting, I need to try this out.........

Ghost Bazz, using your sp as an effects box hasn't been mentioned. It makes a great effects box for other gear. Even instruments, like using an sp in place of a guitar pedal (or even guitar to guitar pedal & pedal to sp, I've done this a few times).

I have the Proteus 2000 & MoPhatt, love them both. A lot of good sounds, A LOT of features & pretty cheap.
