Grew up on Doo Wop because of my dad playing it everyday on the radio. Remember CBS 101 oldies? :D

I developed my own tastes over the years for that genre. Before garage bands, there were kids on the corner or on the subway singing doowop and I dig the whole vibe. But then came the Beatles and swept doowop under a rug, left for dead. Don't get me wrong, the Beatles ushered in psych but they destroyed the doowop scene.

My favorites are the Flamingos, Jive Five, Drifters, The Marcels, early Temptations (first 2 albums) and many others that I do not know their band names but I know the songs like "Get a Job" and "Earth Angel".

I don't ever sample it but when I come across 45s of songs I like I usually cop them.

Aye on my way to work I saw three older guys singing the way you do the things you do a cappella and dancing like the temptations at the metro.
