i have had my 202 for awhile and i dont use it enough bc it is usually acting up, probably half the time
somedays it wont rec right. it will act like it is recording but then nothing on the pad.
somedays it has alot of annoying ringing background noise
also when it is on and i have my headphones off i can hear the 202 making a high pitch electronic noise ( i always wondered about other people having same thing happen)
i spoke with a friend and he said his 202 has similar stuff happen but i wanted to know if theres more bitchass 202s out there
so i can feel better about mine i guess haha
dont tell me yrs lets u blow weed smoke in her input and leave her on all night n stuff. i'd b hella jealous

mine does the same high pitch noise when recording and when the source button is on.
when i first tried it i even tought it was cause of the 9999 connections i have on the same power socket..
it gets really noticeable on quiet sounds but i got used to it
it hads character i guess. 8)

Make sure your rec level is not too high. Sometimes it can be finicky and won't record right. I usually rec samples at about a little over half rec level. You want your source to be just right too. I find too loud and it acts up. Hope that helps

I USUALLY DO THAT, IT IS THE BETTER WAY AGAINST THE 202 NOISE (EVERY 202 ARE WHINY BITCHES)

I have never experienced that but judging from what I read it might just be the way you got the power running.

Try running it on batteries and see if it still makes that noise.

i use my 202 to bounce samples to and from.. mostly because of the 202's noisy tendencies. If the sample doesn't sound right to me i still have the original on my 404 and i can play with the 202 rec level and try again.

but i never use the 202 to make a beat, i just like the effects and record settings

i tend to try 2 or three takes of a sample.. maybe a snare drum recorded with hi fi and standard setting, filter open all the way...then again with filter open half way..

bounce what sounds good back to the 404
